CLOUD BLUE
ON TOP OF THE CITY
Cloud Blue is an apartment house located in the heart of Beijing City, A serene view from the house and roof garden strengthens the busyness of the city. A superlative landmark view come into your eyes. A great contrast is formed between the crowding city and the melodious of the opera you are playing in your gallery lounge, they are conflicted yet connected at the same time. It’s a life style, a perfect balance between tense and relax, move and still, busy and leisure in your life. The place brings the such attitude into your life, this is the beginning of our design.
An inspiration from the unique location and the nature emphasize the delicate lifestyle.
Installation artwork faces the doorway, which is the first image of this gallery house. The lines on the wall leads your eyes in front of the window, to feel the day light warm up your heart in a sunny afternoon.
Turning around, you would see an indoor vertical garden, the whole wall of lovely plants bring fresh air into the place, that smooth your life and making you enjoy the moment to stay with serenity in the city.
Cloud Blue是一处拥有私家花园及户外泳池的三叠层顶级公寓，位于国贸商圈CBD核心区域，坐拥北京地标建筑群的城市景观。你可以随心所欲的从公寓的落地窗或是露天花园鸟瞰繁忙的城市，让正身处宁静云端的你体验一种错落的美感。都市中熙熙攘攘的人群穿梭于脚下，此刻你在谧静、优雅的客厅欣赏着天边的夕阳与耳畔的歌剧。这样的居所总给生活带来一种动、静之间的惊喜，紧张与放松，忙碌与悠闲，美好在变幻的氛围里愈演愈浓。
此处私宅的设计灵感正是源于这闹中取静的绝佳位置，顶层的高度为房主人隔离了喧嚣，取材的考究、光线的运用，艺术品的配搭，设计师与房主人共同为空间赋予了更丰富的内涵。步入玄关，你的视线会落在一只致敬杜尚的装置艺术品上，随之靠近，随之凝视。当你的思绪从艺术品的世界抽离出来，墙面的线条又会将你的视线延展至窗前，骄阳整艳的午后，客厅中洒满暖洋洋的光影。
转过身，你会留意到一片纵向的植物花园，一株株活跃的绿色，为这座总是雾重的城市带来一片清新的空气，而更让人玩味的是，置身此处的惬意，也恰到好处的为你抚平了本来浮躁的心情。

Concealed in a luxury development surrounded by green plants, CONTEMPOCASA is truly a dwelling that contains the philosophy of modern life. The designer provides spatial possibilities for the owner’s needs in different time periods of life.
To make the structure blend with its surroundings, the designer endows it with rather dramatic double skin by retaining the original beige stone slabs, creating a sharp contrast in the courtyard with plain cement and the original stones. Hence modernism spreads out in the space.
The entertainment area on the basement floor embodies the hyperbolic and abstract visual pursuit of modern people. The staircase leads up to a living room with a familial atmosphere. Through the large windows, you'll see the courtyard basked in the sunshine. Natural materials and sunlight are combined in this space, manifesting a vision of cozy and peaceful life. The next floor provides a spatial tension through the artistic sense rendered by calm, vertical planes as well as the layering visual looks from the elevated hollow center and exterior/interior space. As you walk up to the top floor, you will be greeted by the extreme gray space. The designer utilizes the longitudinal stretch of the courtyard to create a mediation area, which along with the above-the-sky Zen atmosphere realized through the glass floor, echoes with the dry landscape and the shadow of the bamboo afar.

CONTEMPOCASA隐藏于绿植环绕的高尚住宅区域内，是一处蕴含现代人生活哲学的居所。建筑主体分为四层，设计师以渐阶的表达方式为房主人在不同时间段的生活提供了空间上的可能性。
为保证建筑在环境中的统一风格，设计师保留了原有的米色石材外立墙面，在院落中以清水泥与原石材的反差质感为建筑物设计了颇富戏剧性的双层皮肤，时代主义的风格自此处蔓延开来。
设计师先是借以地下一层的娱乐空间，使用设计的语言表达现代人对于抽象的视觉追求。跟随楼梯向上来到家庭气息渐浓的起居室，视线透过宽阔的落地窗被带到阳光下的院落，此处空间以天然的选材搭配光线的运用，传达人们对于美好生活的愿景。再上一层，这里以冷静、垂直的平面营造艺术氛围，通过中空挑高与室内外错落的视觉，让置身其中的人得以在此体验空间的张力。最后来到顶层，这里是整栋建筑中最为极致的灰度空间，设计师利用天井的纵向拉伸打造天圆地方的冥想区域，借以玻璃地板营造天空之上的禅氛围，与彼处的枯山水与竹影遥相呼应。

FLOATINFloatG LAND is located at the backyard of Beijing’s central business district, with views of the skyline from a landmark.
The top residential area ensures high quality surroundings for the building.
For the designer,converting Floating Land is an adventure. Here we break the usual stereotype of penthouse apartments, defining the interactive relationship between living spaces and occupants with unique design language, creating a natural atmosphere through compact and efficient use of green plants and providing an extreme sense of extension through views and light.
Floating Land is virtually an illustration of the future family home.
FLOATING LAND地处北京中央商务区后花园位置，坐拥地标建筑天际线景观。顶级居住区域为建筑本身保证了高品质的住宅环境。
对设计师来说，改造FLOATING LAND是一次冒险，在这里，我们要突破人们对于公寓私宅的传统印象，用独特的设计语言阐述居住空间与人的互动关系，紧凑并且高效的利用绿色植物为环境带来自然的气息，最大程度的表达视野与光线为建筑带来的延伸感。
FLOATING LAND可以说是设计师对未来家庭住宅的阐述。

While designing, we created a space with fifty shades of gray, which provides places for recreation while complementing the function of the building — we expect it to bring more possibilities to the place. In terms of building materials, we strengthened the vertical texture of the facade in metal, emphasizing the tension of the visual look as well as enhancing the stability during renovation. On the north side of the building we designed a grille that echos with the south side for a consistent overall style and endows the building with a rich immpression of space.

我们在立面改造时，做出了多个适宜人们活动的灰空间，一方面给人们提供了休闲娱乐的场地，同时也起到服务建筑功能的作用，我们也期待它能为建筑带来更多的可能性。在建筑材质方面我们增强了建筑立面的竖向肌理，在改造的同时在视觉效果上强调了其稳定性，在建筑北侧我们呼应着南侧做了格栅，整体风格协调统一，并为建筑带来了丰富的空间感。
MINT CORNER
YOUNG LADY’S APARTMENT
It is a small-scale housing project designed for female elite. In an area less than 40 square meters, mint elements are used generously to partition the space with refreshingly bright color blocks in order to enhance optical transparency in the environment. Wood flooring in a Z-line herringbone pattern gives the space a sense of depth. Long-arm ceiling light is used instead of traditional floor lamp, which extends the visual height while saving space.
In the conversion plan, the designer deliberately knocks down all the non-bearing structures to offer an unobstructed view and introduces the exterior scene of parasol trees into the living space, making the previously cramped space appear spacious in the soft ambient light.
这处为女性职场精英设计的小型住宅，面积只有不到40平米，设计师大量使用薄荷色系的元素，用清新、明亮的色块将空间进行分割，增加环境中的视觉透明度。人字形的实木地板拼接，让空间在折返的线条下产生错落的层次感。将顶连接的长臂灯替代传统落地灯，即节省了使用空间，又同时拉伸了视线的高度。
改造方案中，设计师刻意拆除了全部原有阻隔视线的非承重结构，将户外的梧桐树景引入居住空间内，使本来狭小拥挤的空间，在光线的调和下，显得明亮、宽敞。

In the project "Twilight in Symphony", the collision and integration of soft materials and sophisticated urban style can be found everywhere. From the elegant natural marble table, to the highly aesthetic brass light fixtures from Lindsey Adelman, then to each exquisite piece of furniture, every single item contributes to the sense of quality exclusively for Upper East Siders. The style simply conjures up the residence of an art collector.
Such a space in Sydney’s swanky area invites you to appreciate the collision between the works of Henry Matisse and Edgar Degas.
"Twilight in Symphony" 是一次充满当代艺术感的设计尝试，以艺术品连接空间，同时尽可能地保留装饰艺术的细节和魅力” 设计师如是说。在此处方案中，柔软的材质与老练的城市风格无处不在的碰撞与交融，从优雅的天然大理石餐桌，到来自于Lindsey Adelman唯美的黄铜灯饰，再到每一处精致的家具，一切都为此处空间营造出上东区的品质感。这风格让人联想到艺术收藏家的居所。
这样的空间，在悉尼城中的豪华地段，由你去鉴赏亨利•马蒂斯与埃德加•德加作品的碰撞。

RED 29 - REFOME
OF AN OLD TERRACE HOUSE
The renovation project deals with a designer’s home in the very center of Beijing. We draw on the design concept of “green dwelling” to make the housing unit named “Red No. 29” more breathable. The original structure retained are incorporated into the quiet, comfortable and elegant modern home.
Beyond the walls is a bustling street. It is a typical double brick individual building in the 1980s style. In spite of the bustle of its surroundings, it presents a peaceful beauty, thanks to the elaborate design.
此次翻修一所位于北京心脏地带的设计师住宅，我们采用了“绿色居所”的设计概念，以带给这处名为“红色29号”的公寓住宅更多的呼吸感。将原有的保留结构与舒适、宁静的现代优雅之家结合并连接在一起。
一墙之隔便是熙熙攘攘的道路，这是一栋典型的1980年代双层红砖结构单体住宅，虽浸染在喧嚣中，却在设计师的精心雕琢下，呈现出闹中取静的美感。

The quadrangle courtyard is one of the most representative classical architectural forms in China. Anyone who has experienced life in Beijing would be familiar with such courtyards. That the form has survived in China until today indicates that functionality it can still fulfill the needs of modern people and demonstrates the charm of the unique life philosophy. In Chinese culture, quadrangle means an area wholly surrounded by walls, which explains the traditional Chinese dwelling style of several generations under one roof. The quadrangle courtyard in this project is built in pursuit of quietness from bustle. Its location among streets and lanes still provides relative peace and tranquillity. Walls draw the line between the private domain and street life. Retaining the main part of the original structure, the designer elaborately carved visual routes and used grey bricks and ochre oak lines to lead the eye through different buildings and finally settle upon the pool in the center.
四合院是中国建筑中最具特色的形式之一。如果你曾在北京生活，对这样的院落一定不陌生，四合院的建筑形式被保留至今不仅说明它的功能性仍可以满足现代人的生活需求，也证明了这种独特生活哲学的魅力。在中国文化中，四合院原本意味着一圈坚固的围墙，诠释了中国大家族式的居住风格。这处四合院居所是为了闹中取静而建，虽身在市井胡同之间，却得以偏安一隅。建筑的围墙是私人领地与市井间最明确的界限，设计师沿用原有结构的主体，精心雕刻出的视觉路线，用灰砖与黄土色系橡木线条引导人们的目光，从不同的建筑间流过，最终汇聚在中央水池的位置。

This time we designed a work environment for education elites. Unlike corporate offices in noisy downtown, the designer aims for a simple and refreshing space here. Hence we chose the space style with a sense of modern art. Complicated details are hidden behind simple visual effects, which simplifies the conflict of views and expresses explicitly the characteristics of modern artistic space. In the project for The Chinese Society of Education, based on consideration of the existing color schemes and styles of the organization, the practicality of space is extended to cater to the humanities of the space user. By breaking the previous layout, a parallel reality is recreated through structural division.
此次我们为教育界的精英设计他们用于工作的环境，与置身于喧哗闹市间的企业不同，设计师希望这里的空间简约并且清新。我们选择了带有现代艺术感的办公空间风格。将复杂的细节隐藏在简约的视觉效果背后，简化视线中的冲突，在设计中明确的表达现代艺术空间的特点。此次中国教育学会的项目中，设计师着重参考了学会原有的品牌色系及风格，扩展空间的实用性，迎合空间使用方的人文气质。“打破”原本的格局及严肃的氛围，以结构的划分，重新创造一处平行的空间。

Think3 is a studio of creativity. The new office space has an industrial appearance, concrete columns and open ceiling, all of which gives a visual perception of solidity. The designer intended to sketch soft details in the solidity. The addition of wood lines provides the space with modernity and comfort. There is a meditation chamber, several offices, meeting rooms and many informal spaces to satisfy the needs of work, dining, entertainment, and socializing. The creation of such a space validates the hypothesis that innovation happens in places where ideas, knowledge, data and insights are connected in the most intense way. The more closely people are connected, the more innovative a community is, the studio is designed based on this concept.
Think3 是一间缔造创意的工作室。这一处新的办公空间以工业风格外观为基础，混凝土柱和开放的天花板，都为置身其中的人带来硬朗的视觉感受。设计师想要在这种硬朗中勾画出柔软的细节。增加实木线条，使得空间显得不仅现代而且舒适。这里有一个冥想室，几个办公室及会议室和许多非正式的空间，以满足工作，餐饮，娱乐和社交的功能。创造这样一个空间证明了这样一种假设：创新发生在思想、知识、数据和洞察力联系最密集的地方。人们连接的越紧密，创新社区就越强大。工作室就是围绕这个理念的设计。在北京，人们能量的密度，街景的活力，碰撞大挑高工业风空间与宽阔而灵活的工作区。客户的体验空间，阅读区，会议区。在新的工作室中相互交叉互动。好客和舒适是这里最重要的一个元素，从粗粝中体现细节，为置身空间中的人们带来碰撞中的美感。
